I had the pleasure to work with Ben for just under a year. Ben is an exceptionally skilled engineer with a keen intuitive nature who quickly gets to the root causes of issues and proposes cost effective and permanent solutions.His ability to talk across all levels means that can get feedback from stakeholders to understand the root cause, a skill that is important to truly understand what needs to be done. Whilst running a chilled food manufacturing plant I was facing a number of equipment issues as well as skills gaps in the engineering department which culminated in poor OEE and extended downtime. Ben came in, assessed and prioritised what needed to done and then just got on with it.He shared is knowledge and helped to upskill the engineering team as he worked though the list.The goal was to improve output by 10% and reduce waste from 8% to 1.5%.  With Ben’s help and support we saw a 18.5% increase in output and waste was reduced to 1%. Ben is an asset to any manufacturing company, whether to support an engineering crew or head up a project to increase output/reduce downtime.
